About the project:
One of our largest projects to date, Uber moved into Chicago’s recently renovated Old Post Office building, filling 310,000 sq. ft. of space for 2,000 employees. We worked closely with Gensler’s Chicago team to design and fabricate many custom tables across amenity, meeting and break-out spaces, with specific sizes and details required for each table. Other furniture included benches and credenzas.
- Sixty tables were fabricated in 18 different designs, ranging from library and conference tables to community and side tables
- Materials included urban oak, oak veneer, ebonized ash, steel, leather and Calacatta Viola stone.
- Tables were customized for power units and wireless charging stations.
- Ten benches in various sizes, fabricated using ebonized ash wood and leather cushions.
